Morphing seamlessly across genres, Nico Georis is a keyboard player, experimental composer & songwriter from California that produces works that are at once bracingly psychedelic and achingly nostalgic.
Despite his evident virtuosity as a trained pianist, Georis has, across numerous projects, stints, incarnations, and chapters, persisted in an exploratory approach to music-making, channelling unseen (or inaugurating altogether new) worlds through melody and repetition.
His recent performances have combined electric pianos and synths with samples, tape loops, plant-generated music and experimental super 8 film projections. He has shared marquees with Lee "Scratch" Perry, Leon Russel, Kikagaku Moyo, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Ata Kak, Vieux Farka Touré & many others. He has many notable original music releases to date:
